Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Night Variable, 3x12-Hour Shifts (50/50 split over a 6-week period) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week Experience: Minimum 2 years with telemetry, ventilators, and high-acuity units; Level 1 trauma and post-op experience preferred License: District of Columbia RN Licensure (Pending license accepted but must be obtained before start date) Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: Completion of one prior travel assignment, or equivalent experience Job Description: - Work in a top cardiovascular intensive care unit. - Provide direct patient care to high-acuity patients with complex needs. - Must be flexible to work a variable schedule including both day and night shifts. - Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity levels. - Participate in weekend rotations and provide holiday coverage as needed. - No on-call requirements. - Must be able to adapt to a fast-paced teaching hospital environment. - Experience with pulmonary artery lines is preferred. - Charting is conducted using Cerner systems. - Must adhere to facility regulations and complete required orientation and modules. - Contact with COVID-19 patients is a possibility.
