Apply today and learn how MedStar Health can be your next -great career -move!Primary Duties:Conducts patient interviews to -identify -contraindicated implants, foreign -bodies, -and other medical conditions -of -concern. -Identifies -and performs -appropriate -examinations -based on patient history. -Verifies prescription and protocol. Uses -appropriate imaging -parameters. Injects contrast based on patient weight after verifying the patient's renal function status. Verifies image quality prior to ending the examination. -Appropriately documents examination. Verifies the examinations is correct in both Cerner, PACS, -Pen Rad -and -Dyna CAD -(when applicable). -Assists -in organizing and -maintaining -inventory of supplies. Ensures the work area is -maintained -at a high state of cleanliness. -Promptly prepares -films -and CDs upon request. -Assists -with protocol development and implementation. -Assists -with the training of new personnel and Radiology School students -regarding -procedures, imaging protocols and department policy. -Collects quality control data for manager, such as film usage, equipment problems, etc. 9. Completes all required information system functions to assure proper patient information, billing, -examination, -and other necessary functions. -Qualifications:Associate -degree or formal training in an American Medical Association accredited school of Radiologic Technology/Magnetic Resonance Imaging. -Job-related experience and/or successful completion of a formal -MRI -educational training program. -Successful Completion of either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) MRI examination or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) examination within one year of date of hire for unregistered -technologists. -BLS (Basic Life Support).
